Cultured Marble – What is it?
Cultured marble is far stronger and less brittle than quarried marble. A one-piece, seamless product that offers a smooth, water proof surface that resists mildew stains and is easily cleaned with a non-abrasive liquid cleaner.

Cultured marble is categorized as a “cast polymer”. The cast polymer term also includes cultured granite. All cast polymer products are manufactured using a blend of polyester resin, catalyst, fillers and pigment. This mixture is then poured into open molds that have first been coated with a gel coat. The catalyst initiates a chemical reaction which causes the resin to polymerize and harden, bonding the entire matrix together into a hard, strong, solid material. The gel coat is specially formulated to produce a tough, durable, transparent surface, which is well suited for a variety of environments. After several hours of curing, the product is removed from the mold, ground, finished and inspected. The finished product is then readied for delivery.

If you have never purchased cultured marble materials, we invite you to do so. Cultured marble withstands impacts that destroy china. It is repairable and offers greater color potential. It requires no seams, which allows for a smother more uniform appearance while also reducing installation labor. Its advantages over cast iron and steel include appearance, color potential, reparability, custom design options and matching accessory pieces. It has similar advantages over plastics and acrylics. Cultured marble offers better stain and abrasion resistance than plastic laminates and allows for the uniform look of integral bowls and backsplash. Cultured marble can be created in the same design as natural marble, with fewer separate pieces. An equally elegant look can be created at a reduced cost.

Cast stone is a man-made product which consists mainly of ground marble and polyester resin and fillers. Since cultured marble utilizes natural crushed stone, which varies in color, Delite MARBLE Inc. cannot guarantee an exact match to color samples. The veining in all of our marble products is created by hand. Thus variance in veining patterns can be expected and is part of the natural beauty of our products. Color samples should be used only as guides. Although every effort is made to coordinate our colors with colors popular in the bathroom fixture industry, we cannot guarantee an exact match to any other product. Variations in shade and tone may occur.

Products must be installed immediately after delivery. Be advised that Delite MARBLE, Inc. is not responsible for any warping or other damage to its products due to improper storage subsequent to delivery.

Delite MARBLE, Inc. is constantly improving and expanding its product line. We will do our best to keep you informed of additional items as they become available.
